The Brambles, Glossop

Seddon Homes recently secured planning permission for their "The Brambles" development, featuring 85 new open market homes, Manor Architecture was then brought in to provide technical support to their internal design team. The project involved creating RIBA Stage 4 drawings for the various new house types within the development.

Understanding Seddon Homes' established methods for large-scale housing development was crucial. Manor Architecture's experience working with numerous house builders meant they were well-equipped for this challenge.

The team used Seddon Homes' existing design templates as a foundation, creating detailed working drawings for each house type. They collaborated closely with both the technical and sales teams to refine the designs to their exacting specification. This ensured the plans met not only the clients' specific needs and sales trends but also adhered to all relevant building regulations.

The particular constraints of the site meant that the majority of our current portfolio were not suitable. In particular, level constraints required several split level house types, and local authority policy required that the housing on site complied with NDSS standards.

6 new house types were provided from initial conception to full working drawing packs, ranging from 955 – 2115sqft.
